The Emcee for the first half of the program at the WUFC Arizona Centennial Cancer Research Fundraiser will be Jude LaCava, Fox 10 News Sportscaster. This event will be held at the Arizona Biltmore, 2400 E. Missouri in Phoenix, Arizona 85016 on Thursday February 2, 2012 from 6:30 pm until 9:30 pm. Bring your friends and help raise money for two Arizona-based Cancer Research Programs: 1.) Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine, collaboratively with Arizona State University under the direction of Robert Waters PhD and
2.) The University of Arizona Cancer Center natural product research program directed byDr. Leslie Gunatilaka.
FOX 10 Sports Anchor
Jude LaCava joined FOX 10 in 1993. He is the sports anchor for FOX 10 News, and hosts “FOX 10 SportsNight” on Sunday nights.
Prior to coming to FOX 10, Jude hosted the “620 Sportsline” on KTAR. He has won numerous journalism awards, including two Emmy awards and numerous Associated Press honors. LaCava was the Suns analyst during the 92-93 season, he was also the original voice of the Arizona Rattlers in their initial season in 1992.
Jude was a high school all-league basketball player and played at Baldwin-Wallace College where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. He earned a postgraduate degree from Fork Union Military Academy in Virginia.
Jude is actively involved in Arizona charity work, including the Italian American Federation; he is a past president of the Heather Farr Foundation, which aids in the fight against breast cancer; and is the spokesman for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
