Writers Unite to Fight Cancer (WUFC) was founded in June of 2010. Our mission is to raise community awareness about cancer and raise money for cancer research, while supporting authors with venues and encouragement.

The money we raise supports both local and national cancer research programs and is occasionally donated to cancer patients to assist in obtaining the care they need.

Today’s cancer researchers are on the verge of life-saving discoveries. But what scientists desperately need are the funds required to mount an all-out assault against cancer. One in two men and one in three women will develop cancer during their life. This year, 1,529,560 people in the United States will be diagnosed with cancer, and more than 7.6 million people around the world will die from cancer.

Authors who would like to join our efforts should contact Margaret L. Turley, Administrator at writersunitetofightcancer@gmail.com. Writers who participate with our group receive their own author page on our website, http://writersunitetofightcancer.com, are invited to participate in local events when they are able, and have their books listed in the WUFC on-line bookstore. Most events are held in the Phoenix Metro Area and in Tucson.

The White Lions Foundation was formed in 2010 as a non-profit organization dedicated to research and education in alternative cancer therapies. White Lions Foundation serves as the WUFC fiscal agent and was founded by Lisa Finder, one of the WUFC authors in 2010.
