Writers Unite to Fight Cancer was founded in June of 2010. Our mission is to raise community awareness about cancer and raise money for cancer research, while supporting authors with venues and encouragement.
The money we raise supports the American Association for Cancer Research, because we believe in their comprehensive and innovative approach.
Today’s cancer researchers are on the verge of life-saving discoveries. But what scientists desperately need are the funds required to mount an all-out assault against cancer. One in three people will develop cancer during their life. This year, 1,529,560 people in the United States will be diagnosed with cancer, and more than 7.6 million people around the world will die from cancer.
